Expert tool for data related to experimental archaeology, reconstructions and traceology

The NFDI4Objects Workflow tool for archaeological experiments and analytics aims to develop a flexible tool for planning archaeological experiments (i.e. recording experiment design and the protocols of a sample preparation procedure or analysis) in order to document archaeological experiments in detail by constructing flowcharts similar to Harris Matrices.

After building an inventory of available “resources,” the user will construct a tree-like workflow by dragging tools and materials from a menu pane. It will be possible to comment on every step and every connection in order to explain why each step was performed in a certain way, thereby allowing researchers to reflect on their workflow and improve the quality of the output.
