OssoBook is a database software specifically designed for the storage and processing of data with archaeozoological content. OssoBook is developed as part of the so-called xbook framework.

Data from archaeozoological finds can be recorded in local databases (e.g. in institutes or directly at the excavation site). Those datasets can now be synchronized with a database on a global server. This allows archaeozoological data to be shared worldwide to enable complex analyses.

Users have full rights to their projects, but can authorize other users to read and/or edit their data.
