research tool and repositories for georesources in human History

The aim of GeoHist is to address the specialist community of scientists worldwide as well as all interested laypersons (e.g. from mining associations) who deal with digital data on the (pre)historical, ancient, pre-modern and industrial use of raw materials from the perspective of archaeological, archaeometric, anthropological and historical research and who need access to various data services from the field of geoscientific and archaeological research.

GeoHist itself will consist of an onlinerepository based on WeBGIS and connected via interfaces, which links various thematically related data services (based on a common thesaurus and Semantic Web technology with the Resource Description Framework) and makes them findable, accessible, interoperable and reusable according to the FAIR principles.

Thus GeoHist is a research tool that is aimed at the (inter)national network of researchers and is intended to develop its main effectiveness in this network.
