Kai-Christian Bruhn is Professor of Interdisciplinary Applications of Spatial Surveying and Information Technology at Mainz University of Applied Sciences and Honorary Professor of Digital Archaeology at Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz.

He is the founding director of mainzed, the Mainz Centre for Digitality in the Humanities and Cultural Studies, and helped set up the inter-university Master’s programme ‘Digital Methodology in the Humanities and Cultural Studies’, which he has headed since 2016.

In NFDI4Objects, Kai-Christian Bruhn is responsible for the topic area ‘Qualification’, which focuses on competence frameworks, qualification profiles and open educational resources in the field of research data management.

As a participant in Task Area 7 for Mainz University of Applied Sciences, he is also responsible for the NFDI4Objects Commons and the NFDI4Objects Portal.
