Research Software Engineering (RSE)

The overarching goal of this cluster is the interdisciplinary exchange in the field of developing sustainable research software, which itself and the research data produced with it FAIRedelt (FAIR and FAIR4RS), sustainably available and as extensively reusable as possible. The cluster defines research software as software and tools that are used in research to generate, process, analyze, link or present research data. This includes statistical analyses, e.g. with R and Python, or the visualization of geo or 3D data within web platforms. The CC deals with the following topics, among others: Research Software Engineering, development and ongoing development of sustainable FAIRification tools and RSE in research and teaching.
