Become part of NFDI4Objects - by becoming a member of one of our community clusters

NFDI4Objects sees itself as a community-driven project. Their suggestions and needs were the basis for our work programme. The ‘Community Cluster’ format was created to ensure the best possible involvement of the community.

What are community clusters?

The Community Clusters (CC) function like discussion groups. They offer an open platform for researchers inside and outside NFDI4Objects who have similar requirements for their research data management. We are happy to present some examples.

Does provenance research play an important role in your everyday (working) life? Then you might be interested in joining the Community Cluster Digital Provenance Research. The cluster meets regularly and organises workshops and lectures.

Or are you primarily interested in ancient buildings? Our Community Cluster Building Research and Preservation could provide you with new impetus in the field of research data management and building research with its extensive network.

What are the aims of the clusters?

Over 20 clusters are currently active. The constantly updated list can be found in our portal. Our community clusters are places for networking and further education. Here you can exchange ideas with other colleagues and experts on the challenges in various phases of the data lifecycle and learn from each other.

The aim of the community clusters is to promote the transfer of knowledge between the task areas and the scientific community in both directions and to comprehensively cover the diverse topics and needs of our researchers. At the same time, they create communication structures that are indispensable for successful and sustainable research data management in the long term. Beyond NFDI4Objects, the clusters also work closely with similar initiatives of other NFDI consortia.

Your commitment counts!

We cordially invite all interested parties to participate in our community clusters. Contribute your expertise, make new contacts and play an active role in shaping the future of research data management.

To ensure that you do not miss any calls for participation in new community clusters, we recommend that you register for our newsletter. This will keep you up to date and let you know immediately when new Community Clusters are launched.

The contact persons for the individual clusters look forward to hearing from you. All information and contact details can be found in our portal.
