Kristina Fischer and Lasse Mempel-Länger from Task Area 4 ‘Protecting’ will present the conservation and restoration thesaurus for archaeological cultural heritage developed in the context of NFDI4Objects. The thesaurus contains terms for recording the condition of and the description of conservation and restoration measures for archaeological cultural assets. It currently represents a comprehensive collection of the terminology used in practice in the ‘Restoration, Conservation and Material Analysis’ competence area at the Leibniz Centre for Archaeology (LEIZA) to describe the conservation and restoration processes carried out and contains, among other things, designations of the materials and tools required as well as descriptive terms for technological evaluations, e.g. for production technology.
