RaDiHum20 talks to representatives of the Humanities@NFDI
Christin Keller was a guest for NFDI4Objects in the new episode of the digital humanities podcast RaDiHum20. The fourth episode of the eighth season of the podcast is dedicated to the National Research Data Infrastructure, more precisely: the role of the humanities consortia in this network and why their work goes far beyond the classic understanding of infrastructure. The guests were Christin Keller (NFDI4Objects), John Wood (NFDI4Memory), Sarah Pittroff (NFDI4Culture) and Thorsten Trippel (Text+).
In addition to the fundamentals of the NFDI, the diversity of data types and institutional involvement was emphasised, which results in a constant interdisciplinary exchange. The resulting ‘communities of interest’ work together on technical and legal issues, among other things. The political role and perception of the NFDI in the changes of recent years was also addressed and practical offerings such as repositories, services and training courses were discussed.
